Narrowing the gap between intention and behavior? An empirical study of farmers’ waste classification in China

The source classification of domestic waste is important for protecting China’s rural environment but this more difficult in areas than urban due to the characteristics farmers China. This study discussed influencing factors farmers’ intention and behavior towards tried determine whether there’s a gap between behavior. Based on 833 valid questionnaires Taihu Lake Basin, structural model was constructed achieve goals study. results show that subjective norms, publicity education, are significantly related behavior, attitude positively intention. Farmers’ had significant discrepancy with average values 4.374 3.103, respectively. Publicity education activities can effectively reduce degree them.
